Journey of Parenting Group
For parents who feel overwhelmed and are looking for a comprehensive approach to problem situations and behaviors.
Parenting is hard. There is no roadmap, and every child and parent is different. Every family is different. While parenting has always been challenging, parenting in the last several years has been even more stressful.
According to ongoing national online survey of more than 2000 randomly sampled U.S. parents of children under 18, 70% of mothers and 54% of fathers report feeling overwhelmed in the past two weeks.
A recent article in JAMA Pediatrics reports that between 2016 and 2020 there were:
- Significant increases in children diagnosed with anxiety and depression
- Significant decreases in caregiver mental and emotional well being and coping with parenting demands
- After the onset of the pandemic, there were significant year-over-year increases in children diagnosed with behavioral or conduct problems.
How can we stop this trend and bring more peace, stability, resilience, and positive relationships to our families??
