Who am I?
Hi! My name is Stephanie Rusnak. I am a student in counseling, working to obtain my licensure as a licensed professional counselor (LPC).
I am completing my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University and have a bachelor’s degree in Health and Wellness from Arizona State University. I believe that we all have the strength and resiliency to grow and change to live a more fulfilling life.
When I am not in school or working, I value spending quality time with friends and family. I enjoy traveling and have experience backpacking through Southeast Asia for months at a time. I also like spending time doing yoga and going on adventures with my Australian Shepard.
I love working with:
I love working with all individuals, from all walks of life. Currently, I work with mariners as I help them build resiliency for a life at sea. I am passionate to work with those who have experienced trauma and depression.
Experience includes working with individuals on stress management, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem. Regardless of your reason to seek counseling my goal is to provide a safe place and the necessary tools required for excellence in your well-being.
Some of my favorite approaches include:
My therapeutic approach focuses on person-centered and a collaborative approach. I help support individuals to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to effectively manage their well-being.
I believe a vital step to the recovery process is the therapeutic relationship, creating a supportive and safe environment. Establishing trust and providing the client a safe place for openness, honesty, confidence, and reassurance.
