Carson Aud, LCSW

Who am I?

Born and raised in Virginia, I do love traveling, going outside with my dog, and helping clients learn life-long coping skills. I strive to aid families, children, and young adults with understanding and handling their emotions, especially in times of aging, end-of-life, or grief.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelor’s degree from Longwood University and a Master’s in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University, while serving as Social Services Coordinator at a local hospice. But my experience is mostly with working in social services, providing treatment to children in a psychiatric residential center.

In order to tailor my techniques to better suit the needs of each individual, I use a variety of therapeutic interventions. Everyone has stressors in their life; sometimes, we need a little guidance and support in learning how to deal with them.

I love working with:

Children, teens, and young adults who suffer from:

  • ODD
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Life changes
  • Grief
  • Behavioral disorders

Some of my favorite approaches include:

Perspectives based on personal strengths, such as:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Mindfulness
  • Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT)
