Everyone experiences life challenges and changes that can create stress, confusion, discomfort and pain. Because life isn’t perfect, some or many of them cause wounding. Therapy can help. We’ll laugh. We’ll cry. I invite you to take a journey to a safe and unique space for healing. I will share coping mechanisms to tolerate emotional distress to improve upon overall functioning.
As a graduate of New York University’s Silver School of Social Work, I began my experience working in New York County Family Court providing expert testimony to judges about children in foster care to facilitate permanency. While obtaining my clinical license I provided psychotherapy in community mental health centers. I also have experience working with older adults in long-term care facilities, providing psychotherapy to clients receiving treatment for opioid dependence, and implementing an inpatient psychiatric program focused on dual diagnosis (substance abuse and mood disorders.) I was educated at New York University in Eating Disorder Etiology and Treatment, among other clinical sequelae and have experience in forensic social
work, providing assessments for court related to divorce mediation, DWI/DUI, foster care/adoption, and domestic violence related situations to maintain safety and security for all parties involved.
I bring this wealth of experience to my clients in private practice. I have extensive outpatient experience included working with persons affected by eating disorders (Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Eating Disorder NOS), self-harming behavior, postpartum depression, dual
diagnosis, chronic pain, anxiety, grief/loss, anxiety/depression, and trauma informed care to veterans affected by traumatic brain injury and traumatic stress.
