Philosophy of Care:
Jenna is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia and National Certified Counselor. She holds 14 years experience in the field of counseling working with children, adolescents, and adults in the private practice, academic, Community Service Board, and hospital Emergency Department settings. She is dedicated to providing compassionate treatment with a non-judgmental presence, empathic listening, person-centered and goal-oriented interventions. Jenna is passionate about providing her clients with a holistic biopyschosocial model; and will create a safe space to also emphasize the role of spirituality in the therapeutic process, should an individual express this area of growth to be of personal importance to them.
Jenna has seven years experience living abroad in Asia and Europe; and is familiar with the challenges that arise in daily cross-cultural living and the acculturation process. She welcomes multi-cultural dynamics in the therapeutic process and will work with individuals to navigate
these dynamics in a safe and hospitable environment.
Jenna is a mother to four young children and aunt to two spirited, neurodiverse boys. Her desire as a therapist is to create a hospitable environment where every client, no matter their felt strengths and weaknesses or identified abilities and disabilities, feel safe to discover growth and healing in alignment with their life goals and personal values. It is her delight to see her client’s develop confidence and feel empowered by the trust and safety of the therapeutic relationship.
