Richmond, VA & Online
Hello, my name is Casey Carroll. I consider myself a North Carolina native, although I grew up as a military child who lived in multiple states. I recently relocated to the Richmond area. My passion for helping others started at an early age, and I always knew my career would reflect that. Being able to collaborate with my clients one-on-one through therapy is a special gift. Our client-to-therapist relationship is most important to me; I will strive to partner with my clients as an active change agent in their life. My hope for my clients is for them to feel comfortable with me and to reach the goals they are working towards to live a fulfilled life.
I attended Methodist University where I majored in Social Work, double minored in Psychology and Professional Tennis Management, and played on the tennis team there all four years. Methodist University is where I grew spiritually and emotionally. I went on to receive my Master’s in Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and graduated in May of 2022. I completed my internship practicum hours at a private practice where I worked with a wide range of clients and used various therapeutic approaches. I have also been volunteering with the Guardian Ad Litem Program for several years. There, I have found that I have a true passion for working with children, teens, and young adults.
I can offer my clients a positive therapeutic relationship. My approach to therapy is to use various approaches regarding my client’s current needs and goals. I like to use a holistic approach touching on all aspects of my client’s life, focusing on my client’s strengths, along with using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-oriented, solution-focused (SFT), motivational interviewing, and structural family therapy. As a Christian, I can also offer biblical truths and guidance during sessions. I am constantly expanding my knowledge and growing to be the most effective therapist for my clients.
