Whether you have experienced trauma, grief and loss, a life transition, or even just a season of not feeling quite yourself, I am here to help you heal and grow through the challenges you are experiencing. After graduating from Longwood University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences, I went on to study Art Therapy and Counseling at Eastern Virginia Medical School, graduating with my Master’s Degree in 2018. As a Licensed Resident in Counseling and a Registered Art Therapist, I am passionate in providing therapy to individuals of all ages who are seeking healing and wellness.
Specializing in domestic violence, sexual assault, trauma, depression, anxiety, women's issues, and grief and loss, I work with clients of all ages through individual, family, and group therapy sessions. My therapeutic approach emphasizes Person-Centered while encouraging the integrative use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Art Therapy, Play Therapy Techniques, and Narrative. My practice of Art Therapy engages the creative spirit with traditional verbal therapeutic approaches to support growth and wholeness.
Committing to therapy may be one of the most vulnerable experiences you have within your lifetime and I believe every single person is worthy of healing. I strongly value the therapeutic relationship, creating a supportive, welcoming, and safe environment to walk alongside you in your journey. I will encourage, empathize, empower, and collaborate with you throughout our time together.
To me, being able to process challenges alongside a client is truly a gift. I believe Brené Brown states it best, “You either walk inside your story and own it or you stand outside your story and hustle for your worthiness”. It is with honor that I will be able to walk inside your story with you. You are worthy of support and healing.
In addition to being a therapist, I strongly value a work, family, and life balance to create holistic wellness in order to be the best version of myself for my family, friends, and clients. When I am not providing therapy, I am most likely enjoying time with family, friends, traveling, playing with my pups, or spending time in nature.
