Life is complex. Sometimes it takes time and perspective to make sense of our experiences. Counseling with a therapist can help us know what we value and how we can grow as individuals, couples, and families. We can access our strengths and work through struggles together. Whether we are coping with distress, grief, infertility, parenting challenges, or other difficulties, counseling can help us repair negative cycles so that we can heal and thrive.
I earned my master's degree from the College of William & Mary in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Couples, Marriage and Family Therapy concentration. I was drawn to working with couples and families after spending many years observing how family relationships can impact well-being across generations. I also have clinical experience working with individuals of varying ages, treating anxiety, depression, and disordered eating. Drawing from a systemic and strengths-based perspective, I primarily utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) in my work with clients.
I am a Resident in Counseling working under the supervision of Christie Hennigan, LPC.
Specialties: Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT)
